NATURAL HARVEST is located in Cochabamba, the beautiful spring‑like city of Bolivia. Boasting an average annual temperature of 18°C, the region sees neither bitter cold in winter nor sweltering heat in summer, making it an exceptionally livable area.
Chia seed is a key agricultural commodity of Bolivia, exported to over 100 countries across the globe and widely recognized as a popular healthy ingredient. Historically, impurities including weed seeds, lightweight immature grains and metallic fragments are introduced during harvest. These contaminants share similar particle size or specific gravity with chia seeds, posing great challenges for separation, which has long troubled food processors and end‑consumers alike.
To deliver truly clean chia seeds, NATURAL HARVEST has thoroughly analysed the properties of different impurities and optimised equipment performance accordingly. We have deployed electromagnetic automatic metal‑removal systems, and implemented planting management practices to suppress weed growth. These comprehensive measures have greatly elevated product quality. At present, metallic contaminants have been fully eliminated, and weed‑seed contamination will be completely eradicated within two years.
Our mission is to supply premium chia‑seed products to the global market, so that chia‑seed consumers can use our products free from impurity‑related worries.
The traditional chia‑seed processing method uses permanent magnets to remove metallic contaminants. Nevertheless, once permanent magnets adsorb a certain quantity of metal debris during production, they reach magnetic saturation and cease further adsorption. As a result, some metallic contaminants may get mixed into the final chia‑seed products. NATURAL HARVEST effectively solves this problem by deploying electromagnetic automatic metal‑removal equipment.
Fitted inside the working chamber are 30 layers of irregular metal mesh. When energized, the equipment generates a magnetic field of 20,000 gauss. As raw materials flow through the metal‑mesh layers, even impurities with extremely weak magnetism will be captured. Upon reaching the preset cycle time, the unit automatically stops material feeding and cuts off power. The vibration motor activates, the slag‑discharge port opens to expel trapped magnetic impurities, and then the system restarts feeding and power supply. Repeating this cycle enables thorough metal removal.
We are the pioneer to obtain this official origin denomination. We can confidently announce to the global market that 100% Bolivian Chia is cultivated across the tropical valleys and plains of Santa Cruz as well as Bolivia’s high plateaus, an indigenous superfood with thousands of years of history rooted in Bolivian land.
Complete closed‑loop automatic production line covering sorting, purification, polishing, packaging & palletizing. Many local South‑American factories are only equipped with basic screening units, without gravity grading, polishing and robotic stacking modules.
All machinery is specially calibrated for tiny chia seeds to maintain key nutrients including Omega‑3 and dietary fiber during purification processing.
Fully‑enclosed pipeline reduces manual intervention and mitigates risks of microbial and impurity contamination, complying with production access specifications for global organic and functional food manufacturers.
There are many application scenarios for chia seeds. Whether you are looking to develop bakery goods, yogurt toppings, energy bars, meal‑replacement powders, beverages, pet food or functional food formulas, there is a “right” chia seed grade for that.
Did you know that seed polishing, impurity removal, grain‑drying temperature and particle‑size consistency affects gel‑forming performance, water‑absorption capacity and texture of the chia seeds?
NATURAL HARVEST S.R.L.’ tightly controls the production processes at its own facility so that it can assure the quality meets your expectations‑ every time.
